Gingerbread Cookies

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a lovely day with your family and friends. To celebrate this day I am sharing the recipe for these gingerbread cookies. I made them yesterday and they are very tasty and so easy to make.

What do you need?
300 gr self-raising flower
150 gr molasses
125 gr butter
75 gr dark brown soft sugar
3 ts ground ginger
2 ts ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Oven: 190C

First, mix the sugar and butter until it becomes creamy and fluffy. Add the molasses, ground ginger, ground cinnamon and salt to the butter and sugar and mix it well. Then add the self-raising flower slowly to the mixture and use your hand to create dough. It can take a while before a dough is formed. You can always add a bit of molasses or milk to make the dough less crumbly. Put the dough in some plastic foil and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Sprinkle some self-raising flower on the countertop and roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it's 3-4 mm thick. Use some festive cookie cutters and press them in the dough. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper and put them in the oven for about 10 minutes. After you've taken them out of the oven place them on a wire rack to cool down. They are perfect to eat, but decorating them is even more fun. I used some writing icing from Dr Oetker, but you can always make your own.

These cookies are the perfect Christmas treat and they are so much fun to make. Decorating them is definitely the most exciting part so get your colourful icing out and let's decorate!

What is your favourite Christmas treat?

The December ASOS Haul 2016

The shopping craziness continues with another haul and yes it's from ASOS, again! You may know that I uploaded an ASOS haul in November, but they have so many nice items that I couldn't resist to make another order -or two-.
I bought quite a lot of accessories, unicorn stuff and a lovely Christmas mug. Hope you enjoy watching it and don't forget to subscribe!

*sorry for the lighting, but I filmed this as soon as the sun came up since I just came back from a night shift. :)

The Amsterdam Food Hotspot: De Wasserette

A few years ago I discovered 'De Wasserette' in Amsterdam. It's this little lunch café on a corner near the Albert Cuyp market and located in 'De Pijp', my favourite neighbourhood in the city.
I kind of forgot about the place, since there are so many other good spots to visit, but last week I went there again and I've come to realise how much I've missed it.

As I said it's on the corner of a street and very petite in size. In the summer they have a huge terrace which is awesome if you want to drink a cup of coffee and enjoy the sizzling sunshine. Luckily they also have heaters, so we took a seat outside. Surprisingly, it was so warm that we had to take our coats off. You can also sit inside, but there were not that many spots left.

When I go to De Wasserette there is only one dish that I order from there. Not that the rest tastes terrible, but this lunch dish is so good that it's the only thing I've eaten there: bread with mashed avocado, chicken, crispy prosciutto and lots and lots of parmesan cheese. As you can see on the photo above, you get SO MUCH CHEESE. Love it!
I also had a fresh ginger tea to go with it and that made it one of the best lunches I had in ages, Do make sure that, if you go there, you have to order the food inside and when it's ready they will bring it to your table. They have amazing service and our food arrived so fast. Great for when you are extra hungry and can't wait to eat all that avocado goodness.

I will definitely go here a lot from now on. Especially on those hot summer days where you want to enjoy a homemade lemonade, catch up with friends and soak up the sunshine!

Have you ever been to Amsterdam? What was your favourite part of the city?

Burberry Lip Mist in Trench Kiss

A couple of months ago I picked up this Burberry Lipstick in a beauty sale. Since then I've used it multiple times and I'm finally ready to give you my thoughts.

Let's start with the packaging of this Burberry Lip Mist which is absolutely gorgeous. The gold feels so luxurious and the Burberry print gives it something extra. It closes with a magnet -see how crazy I get about that here- and overall it's one of the best looking lipsticks I own. The Burberry print doesn’t stop there because the lipstick is covered in it. Such a lovely detail!

Now the lipstick is actually a Lip Mist, which means that it gives a light sheer tint to the lips. The colour Trench Kiss is a beautiful nude and is the ultimate ‘your lips but better shade’. I usually apply this lipstick when I want something natural that always looks good. It's moisturizing as well which is perfect with these cold festive days. Not as long-lasting as I wish it to be, but because it's a sheer nude you won’t really notice it that much.

A lovely everyday lipstick that is perfect on those natural 'I just woke up' days. A bit expensive maybe, but because I bought it in a beauty sale it was quite affordable. I also found out that they discontinued this little beauty but I still wanted to write about it since I love it that much. Let's hope Burberry brings it back!

The Art of Banksy

Last week a friend and I had a chatty day catching up. We began our journey at Metropolitain, a brunch place right in the centre of Amsterdam and ended at our favourite place to eat red velvet cake: De Drie Graefjes. In between those food feasts we went to The Art of Banksy, an exhibition at the 'Beurs van Berlage' with a lot of Banksy's work. I actually wanted to go for quite a while now, so I was happy we finally did.

Even though I wanted to go I don't know that much about his work. I have seen a few paintings on the interwebs and they looked very interesting. Same goes for the spooky amusement park he created last year. I loved to see the meaning behind every artwork. Mainly because a lot of them are so true!

If you go to Amsterdam soon I would really take a look at this exhibition. You only have till the 8th of January though so be quick!

What do you think of Banksy?

Christmas White Chocolate Pretzel Bark

What's December without a festive chocolate bark? I have seen these chocolaty barks all over the internet and decided to make one myself. The salt of the pretzels and the sweetness of the white chocolate go so good together. It makes my mouth water if I think about it.

What do you need?
300 gr white chocolate
Pretzels
Christmas sprinkles
Candy canes, broken into pieces

Now it's very easy to make. Melt the white chocolate au bain-marie. Spread all that chocolate goodness on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and sprinkle the pretzels, Christmas sprinkles and candy canes on the chocolate base. Place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to set and break into large pieces when it's all ready to serve. So simple, but so good!

What is your favourite Christmas chocolate recipe?

Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine

A while back I got the Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine spray in a huge beauty haul -you can watch everything I got here- and I finally gotten around to write a beauty post about this magical oil.

When I first got it I was super excited. I always wanted to try something from Moroccanoil so I was happy to finally get my hands on it. I used it a few times but then began to notice some pimples were popping up around my hairline. I blamed the hair oil and stopped using it. Until a few weeks ago.

I started using it again because I do like what it did to my hair and it smells AMAZING. It's not the original Moroccanoil but a glimmer shine oil spray that gives the hair a beautiful glow. I use it twice a week, because that's when I wash my hair. I use it as a leave-in treatment and sometimes I also take a few spritzes and apply those to the ends of my hair and the frizzy bits at the top. It makes my hair so soft and shiny and I still can't get over the scent: it's the best!
After using it for a while I can say that my hair definitely looks healthier and happier. Maybe it's me but my hair seems to grow faster as well. It has never been this long and I absolutely love it. The pimples have not appeared either which means that maybe this wasn’t the product that caused them.

If you are looking for new hair oil I really recommend having a look at the Moroccanoil range. Everyone always seems to go crazy over their products and I have to agree that the Glimmer Shine spray is very lovely. Because in the end who doesn't like shiny and good smelling hair locks?

What are your thoughts on Moroccanoil products?

The Christmas Tree

For today’s #blogmas post I'm giving you a peak at my family's Christmas tree. Technically I have three: one at my dad’s, one at my mum's and one in my bedroom at my mum’s. I wasn't planning on having one in my room but when I saw how cheap the little trees were I couldn't resist taking one home. It makes my entire room so cosy and Christmassy!

This is the tree we have at my dad’s house. My sister and I get to choose the ornaments every year and this year it was my sister’s turn to pick them. She went for red, green and white: the classic Christmas colours. My personal favourite is the London bus and a few weeks later I went with my dad to pick that ornament up myself. As I travel to London quite a lot I felt like that one was meant for me.

The big bows, special ornaments and classy baubles make it a lovely tree for that time of the year!

What does your Christmas tree look like?

The Fringe Hem Jeans and Velvet Boots

Velvet always comes back every autumn/winter season and when I saw these black velvet boots from Topshop I was sold. They are surprisingly comfortable and look so amazing on. I’m very tall, but these boots give me even another bit of extra height and I really get the whole Beyoncé vibe going when I walk in them.

Today I paired my velvet boots with a pair of Fringe Hem Jamie jeans from Topshop. I have been wearing the plain Jamie jeans for about four years and I was in the mood for a bit of a change. The fringe hem looks so nice and adds a lot of texture to the outfit. I have seen a lot of those fringe jeans on people and loved them immediately. That's why I was so happy to spot them in the Jamie version, because I hate looking for a new pair of jeans and Jamie fits me so well.

No surprise that I'm rocking my faux fur leopard coat to finish the look. It’s just so comfy, fluffy and warm. I really wear it all the time, even though I have three other faux fur coats hanging right in my closet. Next time I will give those a feature on here!

A Feel Unique Haul

The website Feel Unique is my go-to place to fulfil all my beauty craving needs. Especially skincare since they sell the brand First Aid Beauty and you all know I love that! In my recent order I picked up three things: two F.A.B. cleansers and an eyeliner from L’Oréal Paris.

For me the Face Cleanser from F.A.B. is the best cleanser I ever tried. It takes off my make-up so well and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. It just does the job without irritating my skin and the Jumbo Face Cleanser -same stuff just a bigger size- lasts me for about six months. No surprise that this was in my shopping basket again!

Every time I have a look at First Aid Beauty I spot the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay. Something about the fact that it's especially for oily and acne-prone skin makes me want to purchase it. And this time I did! I already tried it out and it's so lovely. Review coming soon!

Since my eyeliner ran out I was in desperate need of a new one. There was an offer going which made this L'Oréal Paris Super Liner Eyeliner about €7.00. So cheap compared to how much it costs in the Netherlands! I already tried the Black Lacquer version which I really liked, so I'm excited to give this one a go.

Do you shop on Feel Unique? What do you always get from there?

Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB

I first spotted the Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB in a video of Lily Melrose. It looked interesting but I wasn’t planning on buying it. I always wanted to try the YSL Touche Éclat and the Estée Lauder concealer looked very similar to the YSL one. When I received a few gift cards for my birthday I was like why not give the one from Estée Lauder a go?

The gold packaging gives it a very luxury feel and for €29.95 I expect nothing less. With a few twists you release the concealer that comes out of the brush.
I have the colour 1C Light and it's a bit lighter than my skin tone which is what you always want. I apply it after my foundation and draw a V underneath my eyes to really get the highlighting going. After that, I blend it in with my foundation brush and set it with a powder so that it stays in place. For me this is really necessary because my mascara tends to go underneath my eyes and gives the illusion of a panda. Not really the look I was going for!

It doesn't give the best coverage so if you have very dark circles I would apply it on top of your full coverage concealer or maybe skip this one altogether. Of course it's not meant to give the best coverage but to give you the most amazing glow instead. I do think it really lifts your face and makes it appear brighter and more awake. Like you always have plenty of sleep and have absolutely nothing to stress about. Don’t we all want that? It's not as sparkly as I thought it would be, but I don't like to have that underneath my eyes anyways. I reserve that sparkle for my cheekbones!

Overall a lovely glowy concealer to give you a fresh-faced look. It blends nicely, stays in place and the colour is a very good match for me. The price tag is maybe one of the reasons not to purchase it, but sometimes you got to spoil yourself a little!

Have you tried the Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB already?

White Chocolate Gingerbread Truffles

Christmas is the best time of the year to go crazy in the kitchen. I love baking and since the oven at my dad’s house is broken I had to find a festive no bake recipe to make. In the end I stumbled upon these gingerbread truffles and I have to say they taste AMAZING!

What do you need?
250gr gingerbread cookies
120gr cream cheese
250gr white chocolate
Christmas sprinkles

First, put the gingerbread cookies in a food processor and mix until they are turned into a fine cookie crumble. Add the cream cheese to the cookie crumbles and mix it into a dough. Take a bit of dough in the palm of your hand, roll the dough into a small ball and place it on a tray with grease-proof paper. When you have all the cookie dough balls on the tray you put it in the fridge to set for at least ten minutes.

Melt the white chocolate au bain-marie and get your cookie dough balls out of the fridge. Dip them in the melted white chocolate one at a time and make sure that they are fully covered. Place them back on the baking tray and sprinkle them with Christmas sprinkles. When you are all finished it's best to put them in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to make sure they are completely set and ready to eat. I know it's hard, but you can spoon the leftover white chocolate out of the bowl. Those 15 minutes will be over in no-time!

Then it's finally time to take a bite of that gingerbread truffle and oh my god it will change your life. The combination of all the spices with the white chocolate is the best thing ever. I'll definitely make these again!

What is your favourite no bake Christmas treat?

The Red Jumper

For a while I went for a black or white jumper. It's easy to style, looks great and is always in fashion. For this time of year I decided to take a step out of my usual style and rock a bright red jumper. I saw someone wearing it and thought by myself: I need that in my wardrobe!

This red jumper is from Topshop and has a high neck. Most jumpers that I own have a high neck because I love the way it looks and it keeps my neck warm. Not that I wouldn't pair this with a scarf, but a bit of extra warmth never hurts when the temperature drops.
The bright colour also looks so festive on. The only thing missing is a cute Christmas pattern and I'm good to go for this holiday season.
It's not your usual knitwear, in the way that the fabric is different, but I really like it. I find that the wool jumpers that I have, look fluffy very quickly and not in a good way. This one still looks brand new, and I've worn it A LOT.

I will definitely add more red items to my wardrobe as they immediately make such a statement. Christmas can't come soon enough!

Do you already own a red sweater?

The Amsterdam Food Hotspot: MOOK Pancakes

In the Netherlands we like to eat a lot of pancakes. We have the crepe style ones that make the perfect dinner, yup we eat those for dinner, or the small pancakes that we like to call ''poffertjes''. Now because we like them so much you will see pancake restaurants everywhere and today I went to the hippest pancake spot in town: MOOK Pancakes.

It's located near The Foodhallen which is a huge food market where you can find everything your hungry stomach desires. So I definitely recommend having a look there as well, after you’ve eaten the pancakes of course.
At MOOK Pancakes you have a wide selection of organic pancakes; even vegans will have the most delicious options here. I went for The Blue Magic which is a stack of pancakes with fresh berries and banana, maple syrup and grated coconut. It's one of the simpler pancakes they offer and I really liked it. They were so fluffy and soaked in maple syrup: my favourite!
You can also go for The Vegalicious: oatmeal pancakes with avocado, hummus and fresh vegetables, The Pink Lady: smoked salmon, crème fraîche and dill or The Heavy Mama: banana, grated coconut, dates, honey and walnuts. Just a few of the more savoury and sweet pancakes they have.
Besides the super yummy pancakes they serve a lot of healthy juices and soothing teas. I went for a watermelon juice and it was YUM. It also came in this super cute bottle which makes it even more fun to take a sip of that healthy pink drink.

After eating that stack I was so full. We also went to Corner Bakery that morning so we had a food feast, but ya know: sometimes you got to treat yourself with some good food, as long as it's not every day you shove it all in your mouth –aka me with Christmas- it should be fine!

What is your favourite pancake topping?

Lancôme La Vie est Belle

Every year around my birthday I get a new perfume. I mainly get money or gift cards for a beauty store down town and as soon as my b-day is over I make my way there as fast as I can. This time around I decided to go for a perfume that has been on my wish list for a while now: Lancôme La Vie est Belle. I had samples of this perfume, but nothing beats spritzing it on and smelling that amazing scent every day.

I have the Eau de Parfum Spray because I like to have a strong scent that stays on all day. And with this perfume I can actually smell myself, even though I sprayed it on six hours ago. I find that with many other perfumes I can't smell the scent anymore. Of course you can get used to it, but I switch my perfume every day so I should be able to smell the difference.

Lancôme La Vie est Belle is a very warm and rich perfume. To me, it has the same vibe as Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, in the way that it smells very rich and is a classic when it comes to scents. Since I am the worst at describing scents I have the notes for you right here:

Top Note: The elegance of Iris
Middle Note: The strength of Patchouli
Base Note: A sweet gourmand

My advice is to smell the scent yourself - you probably already have, but I still think you have to smell it again, because it's that good! - It's the perfect perfume all year round and smells good on everybody. I have a lot of perfumes, but this one, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, are probably my favourite scents in the world!

What are your thoughts on Lancôme La Vie Est Belle?

Quay Australia Marble High Emotion Sunglasses

When it comes to sunglasses there is one brand I really like: Quay Australia. In my opinion they have the most amazing designs and they look so stylish on. I already have two pairs but I thought it was time to add a third pair to the collection.

ASOS is the best place to find a good sale bargain. I found another pair of Quay sunnies there as well, so I always keep my eyes out for the sale section. When I spotted these High Emotion glasses I was sold. I fell in love with the marble frame and blue glasses, they had to be mine. Ooh and they were discounted from €46.67 to €20.00. Such a good deal!

They arrived just in time for my holiday to Greece and it's safe to say they were the only accessory I was wearing on that trip. They made me look so cool whilst I was lying down by the beach or trying not to fall in the water and show everyone my boobs in my low-cut swimsuit (from ASOS as well).
I have a lot of black swimwear so these glasses matched that look perfectly. If I went out to the town in a colourful outfit I would always go for my black cat eye glasses, because otherwise it all becomes a bit too much with the prints, but overall they were a great match!

My advice to score one of these babes with a discount is to keep your eyes close on the ASOS website. At the end of this month the sale will start again so I can't wait to see what will be on offer. Please let it be the My Girl glasses!

Do you have a pair of Quay Australia sunglasses? Which one do you have?

The love for Invisibobble

One of my ultimate essentials in life are hair ties. Whenever I get frustrated with my hair being everywhere I take the trusty hair tie of my wrist and say bye bye to that annoying hair. I mean having long hair is amazing and all, but sometimes I think it's the most unhandy thing in the world.

I used to always get mine from Primark. You pay €1.50 for a lot of hair ties, which literally gets me through an entire year. They break or I lose them and for €1.50 I don't care what happens with them in the end. I know that those kind of basic hair ties aren't the best for your hair, but I had no idea what else to do. And then I discovered Invisibobble.

I got my first Invisibobble hair tie when I was working as an intern at a magazine. We had lots of them and we all got one to try them out. I really liked having my hair up that way. I had no kinks in my hair, which I would usually get with my normal hair tie and it didn't break. Although I love this new hair tie a lot it didn't prevent me from losing it #girlproblems. They can be a bit expensive though as you get three hair ties in each box, but they last so much longer than the Primark hair ties and are way better for your hair that I happily pay a bit more.

Luckily, I was kindly invited to an Invisibobble event. I still worked as an intern and since beauty events are my favourite thing to go to I was like why not? I couldn't wait to hear about these magical hair ties and learn more about the other collections they were bringing out, because they have more than just the classic Invisibobble.

Original
Your basic, go-to hair tie. It has a strong grip, avoids headaches and kinks in your hair and looks stylish around your wrist. (€4.95)

Nano
The updo tool. Perfect for buns, crazy braids and more! I personally like using it to create a hipster bun. It stays in place perfectly no matter what I do. (€3.95)

Power
The hair tie that's perfect for when you work out. It has an extra strong grip and all the other benefits of the Original Invisibobble. (€5.95)

I like all three kinds for their own purpose. The one I use the most is probably the Original. I have it in all sorts of colours, but my go-to is the brown, black or clear version. Mainly because these colours blend in with my hair, but when I'm in a fun and quirky mood I get out my pinks and blues. Nothing a bit of colour can't solve, am I right?

Have you tried an Invisibobble before? Do you like them?

The December Primark Haul 2016

Whenever I get in a Christmassy mood I always have to go to Primark to have a look at their cosy Christmas stuff. I actually bought these things a few weeks ago, so you can only imagine how obsessed I am with Christmas!
It's not the most exciting haul I have ever filmed, but I have my London and ASOS hauls to prove the fact that I already have way more stuff than I actually need. So this was more ''a Christmas and basic stuff that I can't live without'' Primark haul haha.

I hope you still enjoy it and get ready for some new videos, because a huge ASOS and Topshop haul is on its way!

The Brighton Food Hotspot: Cafe Coho

Normally I only talk about hotspots in Amsterdam but I'd really like to change it up a bit and talk about my faves all over the world. To kick it off I'm starting with my visit to Cafe Coho when I was in Brighton.

I found out about this place via a blogpost from The Anna Edit (ViviannaDoesMakeup). She lives in Brighton and created this article about the best breakfast spots in Brighton. After going through all the mentioned restaurants this one seamed the most appealing to me. So there I went with my suitcase, sleepy face and rumbling stomach at 8:30 in the morning on the hunt for some food.

It was quite easy to find because I took some screenshots of Google Maps when I still had Wi-Fi. I went to their café on Ship Street, since I heard that's the nicest one out of the bunch. I was a bit nervous when I walked in there, mainly because I've never really eaten alone in a restaurant before. A bit silly maybe, but there is a first for everything right? Thank God they had Wi-Fi so I quickly escaped my ‘eating alone mood’ by being stuck on my phone and telling my friends who had just woken up about my travels and how amazing Brighton was. Next time I'll probably read a book haha.

I sat on the opposite side of the counter next to the door. It was actually quite easy to grab a seat, but after I sat down lots of people came in so it's definitely all about being lucky with finding a good seat. I love the atmosphere there. They use a lot of wood in their interior and it truly gives it a hipster vibe.
You order at the counter and then, once it’s ready, they bring the food to your table. I had no idea if I had to go to the counter or wait till someone was going to take my order, so I just watched what other people did and ended up at the counter.
After having a look at the menu I decided to go for an iced tea and the pancakes with yogurt, fresh berries and honey. The best choice in my opinion because the food was super delicious and I've had a lot of pancakes in my live #sweettooth. It arrived really quickly and I ate those fluffy things all in one go. I was so full that I wasn't even in the mood for a cupcake from the Angel Food Bakery and I was so looking forward to that.
Even when you are not into sweet things there is something on the menu that you'll like. They have a lot of sandwiches and other typical breakfast foods that will be right up your street.

I definitely want to go back to Brighton and have another brunch session at Cafe Coho or maybe go to another hidden gem. When I was walking through The Lanes I saw so many cute bakeries and tea shops that I really can't wait to discover!

Have you ever been to Brighton? What’s your favourite brunch spot there?

Seeing Jake Bugg and Blossoms

Last Friday, a friend and I went to see Jake Bugg in Amsterdam. I wasn't the biggest fan of him. Mainly because I never heard of him before. I recently get notifications on Facebook of this club when there is a new artist performing at their venue. I did this because I always miss the memo that people are performing. I hear about it way too late, the concert is sold out and I get so mad at myself for not being informed - aka Troye Sivan's concert -.
Now I got this Facebook notification about Jake Bugg's concert. His name sounded interesting so I googled him and actually liked his sound. I then put myself on ‘interested’, so that I was able to look him up when I got home. -otherwise I really forget these things-  Then one of my friends messaged me and said that she saw that I was interested and asked if I wanted to go. As the concert enthusiast that I am, I immediately said yes and the rest is history,

The British band Blossoms was his opening act and I instantly liked their indie vibe. Guys with long hair and British accents who make great music? What's not to like? When I got home I bought their album on iTunes and I'm actually going to their gig in February with the same friend. I love discovering new bands this way!
The concert was at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, the same venue when I went to see DNCE (and Joe freaking Jonas liked my Instagram photo?!). I like the whole atmosphere and intimate vibe there. We got good spots as well so we could see everything. I'm very tall, so I can always get a good peak at what’s going on. One of the perks of having long legs I guess..
Then it was Jake's turn to perform. He performed really well live and oh man that guy can do so many things with a guitar. I didn't know many of his songs, so I went in there not knowing anything about his music. I always get kind of annoyed at myself when I don't know the lyrics to songs when I go to a concert, but sometimes a girl is just not in the mood or doesn't have time ya know. I think that's the best part about going to gigs: singing along and swaying along with your favourite songs.

I will be able to do that next time though when I go and see Blossoms, but The 1975 concert will come up first at the end of January. So many exciting things ahead! :)

Do you listen to Jake Bugg or Blossoms? What are your favourite songs?

The Flower Power Skirt

In the past couple of months I've really changed up my style and sort of got back to the high school me with all my colours and quirky items and given them a more grown up vibe. I still love my minimalistic black, white and grey, but a bit of colour won't hurt anyone.

When I saw this skirt in Topshop I was sold. I actually work there, so whenever a new item comes in I'm drooling and the fact that I walk past it a 100 times a day doesn’t help either: I just had to get it. I'm really happy I did though. The skirt fits perfectly around my curves and is not too big around the waist. The flowers make it more fun and give the basic black skirt a bit more sass.

I think it will last me long as well, since the flowers scream spring to me, but even that doesn't hold me back from wearing it with my cosy red Topshop sweater and over the knee boots from Public Desire, who btw are absolute babes as well. I mean look at them! They keep me warm and look so sexy. They definitely make me feel like Beyoncé when I put them on.

An embroidered piece like this is an absolute must in everyone's wardrobe this season. Jeans, boots, bags, skirts, you name it: everything has to have a touch of flowers. Can't wait to get the matching denim jacket as well. Or maybe that will be too much flower power for one look?

Do you already have an embroidered piece in your wardrobe?
