My new iPhone case from Society6

Owning an iPhone was something I've always wanted. I just really like the design and the fact that you can buy cute cases to change the look. It took me a while to purchase it though, mainly because an iPhone is pretty damn expensive and believe me, it hurt a little when I clicked 'pay now' and saw that the large amount of money - something that we will never speak about – had left me. I did get something nice in return and since two weeks I can call myself a proud iPhone 6 owner. - No 6s because I am not that rich haha -

Since you can't own an iPhone without a cute case I immediately ordered one from Society6. A web shop that I had never heard about if it wasn’t for Lily Melrose. I basically want to have her entire wardrobe, her hair and interior because it always looks fab. She has some prints in her new apartment that she bought from Society6, so I started to look around a bit and came across the phone case section. I always thought her phone case was awesome, so when I saw the exact same case I HAD to buy it. A bit crazy maybe, but I really like that phone case okay?

It's a design called EYE designed by artist Ellie Cryer and I absolutely love the entire look of it. I love the black, white and blue colours and it's totally photogenic too!
After two weeks of stalking my mum with the question: ''Was there something for me in the post today?'' she finally came in with a small package and I was so excited. I immediately put the case around my phone and I never want to take it off. I also physically can't, because I have tried to remove it and nothing works. I believe there is a special way that I still need to discover haha.

I am really happy that I discovered Society6! They have some awesome prints to that I really want to have, so I can't wait to place my second order!

Have you heard from Society6 before?

L'Oréal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer

Winged liner is one of my favourite make-up looks ever. The only problem is that I suck at it. I bow down - hello Beyoncé reference - to people that do master the skill of applying winged liner perfectly. I personally have good and bad days and it usually takes a lot of cotton buds - or even removing the entire eye look- to have wings that are sort of even.

A lot of it is the product you use and I've discovered that eyeliner pens are my fave. They are easy to work with and don't smudge on me. Especially that last thing is very important to me, because I always end up with a black line on my eyelids.
I had always heard good things about the L'Oréal Paris Super Liner and when there was a 2 for 1 offer going on I couldn't resist (the other product was a different eyeliner from L'Oréal that will pop up on the blog soon!).

I'm not very good at eyeliner, but this product makes it so much easier to do. I love the ‘‘plastic pen’’ that you apply it with. Normally I hate those kinds of plastic brushes, but this works really well.
I completely understand why so many people love this product. It gives you a lot of control to make the perfect line, that is completely black - also very important - and it makes creating that winged line seem like the easiest job ever.
When I popped it in my basket, I had no idea what Black Lacquer meant. They had no normal black version, so I decided to let it surprise me. When I first put it on I immediately discovered what it was. It leaves a kind of glossy finish when you apply your eyeliner. It looks really cool and it's not your typical matte eyeliner look.

Am I a cat-eye pro now? Nope. But it definitely makes life much easier when I do decide to do a winged liner look. Practice makes perfect, so when I’m not in a hurry I actually apply my eyeliner and hope for the best. Hopefully by next year, I will be able to make a perfect wing in less than three minutes. I’m not counting on it, but I can dream right?

Vlog #2: London 2015, EMA Pre-Party & Forever 21 opening

Last week was a week full of events. On Monday I went to the MTV EMA Pre-Party in Amsterdam. I was part of the press team and I was right beside the red carpet. It was so amazing to experience an event like that and I had a lot of fun!
On Wednesday I had a photoshoot for Fashionista magazine (I am an intern there). I got to do such cool and amazing things that I will tell you all about when the time is ready! After the shoot I rushed into central Amsterdam for the Elite Model Look finale, which was so fun to watch! I was very underdressed though, since I just came back from the photoshoot. Picture this: guys in suits and ties, women in fancy gowns and then there is me: the girl who is wearing black skinny jeans, a chunky jumper and a grey scarf. Not the best look, but oh well!
Then on Thursday I went to the opening of the new Forever 21 store in Rotterdam, which was again SO COOL. Normally I sit behind my laptop, typing away as I do, but this week was just so awesome and fun and I can't wait to show you the things that I have been doing!

For now I have a little vlog where I show you my week and some clips from my last holiday – basically one day - to London. I vlogged the entire MTV EMA Pre-Party - I even talked to my phone in public in the busiest street in Amsterdam EVER - and my editing software decided it wasn't a good idea to import those clips to the video. Anyways, I still hope you enjoy this little clip of my life and I will be back to regular videos soon!

Catrice Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation + Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer

Finding a good foundation and concealer for my skin tone has always been a struggle. Even the lightest drugstore foundations make me look like an oompa loompa and then I'm not even talking about the concealers. When I spotted these two products in the Catrice make-up aisle I was immediately intrigued. High coverage, a good price and what seems the right colour? I'm in!

Let's start with the concealer. The Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer in 010 Porcelain is meant to give a flawless, long lasting finish that even claims to be waterproof. Not that I go swimming with my make-up, but oh well.
It has a very creamy consistency and blends in very nicely. The colour is a complete match to my skin, which is new for a change. It doesn't highlight my skin, since I'm too pale for that, but I love that it covers my dark circles, hyper pigmentation and spots. It's a great all-round concealer that works for everything and for €3,59 you can't really go wrong.

The Catrice Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation in 005 Even Ivory is meant to have a medium to high coverage and will make your hyper pigmentation less visible, even without foundation. It also has SPF25 which is a nice addition.
I think it's a good foundation, but nothing can top my love for the Revlon Colorstay Foundation. I find that this Catrice foundation gives me a very shiny face at the end of the day. However, it does blend in nicely and the colour match is spot on.
For a drugstore foundation I think it's very good. Especially for people with fair, acne-prone skin. It covers my spots and acne scars really well and the price (€7,59) is amazing. I don't know about the claims of making my skin more even, but for me it's all about the coverage and colour anyway.

I think they are very good drugstore products. I will definitely repurchase the concealer over and over again, the foundation is good, but I think I will stick to my Revlon foundation for now. If you have fair skin definitely have a look at the Catrice make-up aisle!

Have you tried any of these Catrice products?

A little sneak peak in the new Forever 21 Rotterdam store

On Thursday night I was invited (because of my internship) to go to the opening of the new Forever 21 store in Rotterdam. After the success of their first store in Amsterdam it was about time to open a second one and after a long train journey I finally arrived in Rotterdam.

I love Forever 21 a lot. I heard about the store plenty of times, so when I was in London, two years ago, I went a bit crazy. I like a lot of their items, so I was very happy when they finally opened a store in Amsterdam. And now they also have one in Rotterdam!

The store is located in the 'Koopgoot'. You can find lots of other shops there too. It's basically every shop you need for a successful shopping day! It's not as big as the other store, but you can still buy a lot of lovely items and you don't have to travel all the way to Amsterdam.

I took some pics of the store to give you a sneak peak. It also opened today, so if you live near Rotterdam definitely take a look and shop till you drop!

A little Feel Unique haul

Browsing websites at midnight is never a good idea. I do it plenty of times and this time it resulted in a little Feel Unique haul.
I really love their website. They sell lots of brands and if you spent more than €15,00 you get free shipping and you know I love free shipping.

A couple of weeks ago, beauty blogger and vlogger Fleur De Force came out with a beauty line and I knew I wanted to try something from her range. This peachy nude lipgloss is called 'Seeing Stars' and it looks absolutely beautiful. There are also some lovely reds in the collection, but I know that I will grab this sooner than a bright colour. I haven't tried it yet, but it should be very pigmented, glossy and overall gorgeous.
Fleur also has collaborated with Eylure. I thought they were only available in Boots, but it turned out I was wrong. I saw them on the website and immediately popped a pair in my basket. I've never really been a fake eyelash kind of girl. I once bought a pair form Primark - not the best I know - and they made me look like Snooki form Jersey Shore. I have quite long eyelashes, so I never really feel the need to wear fake ones, but fluttery eyelashes for a night out won’t hurt anyone, right? I chose the 'Fleur Loves' eyelashes, since they are not too much and not too natural.

Then I decided to have a look at the Zoella Beauty range and I spotted quite some new additions. I wasn't too sure about the 'All That Glimmers' powder puff. I had no idea how big it was or what it would look like. A quick Google search showed me that there weren’t any reviews of this product, so I decided to review it. It will be up on the blog soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Overall, I am very happy with the new additions to my beauty collection and I can't wait to try them out!

Have your tried any of the Fleur De Force beauty products?
