Seeing Jake Bugg and Blossoms
Last Friday, a friend and I went to see Jake Bugg in Amsterdam. I wasn't the biggest fan of him. Mainly because I never heard of him before. I recently get notifications on Facebook of this club when there is a new artist performing at their venue. I did this because I always miss the memo that people are performing. I hear about it way too late, the concert is sold out and I get so mad at myself for not being informed - aka Troye Sivan's concert -.
Now I got this Facebook notification about Jake Bugg's concert. His name sounded interesting so I googled him and actually liked his sound. I then put myself on ‘interested’, so that I was able to look him up when I got home. -otherwise I really forget these things- Then one of my friends messaged me and said that she saw that I was interested and asked if I wanted to go. As the concert enthusiast that I am, I immediately said yes and the rest is history,
The British band Blossoms was his opening act and I instantly liked their indie vibe. Guys with long hair and British accents who make great music? What's not to like? When I got home I bought their album on iTunes and I'm actually going to their gig in February with the same friend. I love discovering new bands this way!
The concert was at the Melkweg in Amsterdam, the same venue when I went to see DNCE (and Joe freaking Jonas liked my Instagram photo?!). I like the whole atmosphere and intimate vibe there. We got good spots as well so we could see everything. I'm very tall, so I can always get a good peak at what’s going on. One of the perks of having long legs I guess..
Then it was Jake's turn to perform. He performed really well live and oh man that guy can do so many things with a guitar. I didn't know many of his songs, so I went in there not knowing anything about his music. I always get kind of annoyed at myself when I don't know the lyrics to songs when I go to a concert, but sometimes a girl is just not in the mood or doesn't have time ya know. I think that's the best part about going to gigs: singing along and swaying along with your favourite songs.
I will be able to do that next time though when I go and see Blossoms, but The 1975 concert will come up first at the end of January. So many exciting things ahead! :)
Do you listen to Jake Bugg or Blossoms? What are your favourite songs?

The Beyoncé Formation Tour
A couple of years ago I went to my first concert. I was super excited to see what it would be like and even more excited to see Queen Bey live on stage. I sang along to all her songs, did the 'Single Ladies' and 'End of Time' dances and was basically having the best time of my life. Of course that time wouldn't be the last.
I am kind of sad that the concert is over, but I will definitely get my hands on tickets for her next show. Until that time.. ''Okay, ladies, now let's get in Formation..''
What is your favourite Beyoncé song?
— Marjolein (@Miss_CocoBlue) 17 juli 2016Last month I went to her Formation Tour in Amsterdam and oh my god it was amazing. My friend Michelle and I booked the tickets last February and were so excited when the day finally arrived. After a few mishaps -I always get in the wrong line when entering the venue- we were in the arena. We had standing tickets and even though we weren't there at 10AM we managed to get quite good spots.
Now the show was absolutely amazing. She sang so good live, her dance moves were on fire and her hair and outfits were so on point. I loved her performance of 'Freedom'. The splashing water and dancing really added a whole new vibe to the song and I was kind of happy that I wasn't standing that close by. The water would've cooled me down though as I was so hot from dancing around.I loved this Beyoncé performance the most! She really is the queen! 🐝🐝 pic.twitter.com/bl5yQZbT5o— Marjolein (@Miss_CocoBlue) 16 juli 2016

Seeing DNCE & Joe Jonas liked my photo!?
Last Sunday I went to see DNCE in Amsterdam. I love their song 'Cake By The Ocean' and as a former Camp Rock fan - okay I admit I still LOVE that movie - I was very excited to see Joe in real life.
The concert was really great and I also added quite a few clips of it in my vlog, so you can enjoy it too. However the best thing happened after the gig, when Mister Joe - freaking - Jonas liked my Instagram photo. - OMG! - I am still dying about it right now and I find my fangirl moments in this vlog hilarious. Maybe it's a bit over the top but it's truly how I reacted to it. Hope you like it!
With which celebrity would you freak out if they liked your Instagram photo?

Get Ready With Me: Going to The 1975 Concert in Amsterdam
Almost 2 weeks ago I went to see The 1975 in Amsterdam. The concert was amazing and I really enjoyed it a lot. To share a bit of my experience there, I filmed a Get Ready With Me video and also inserted some Snapchats at the end in case you want to enjoy the moment with me. I always love to watch these quick videos so I hope you really like them too!
I am also back on YouTube so if you want to see more videos then you should hit that subscribe button! :)

FOTD #1: Going to 5SOS
On
Wednesday my friend and I kicked of our concert month. In the next couple of
weeks we will be going to a lot of gigs. Ariana Grande, Olly Murs, Taylor Swift;
just to name a few. I will also go to Miranda Sings, but my friend is not
really a big fan, so I found another victim that wants to go with me hehe. Funny enough, all these
gigs happen in four weeks’ time, so that means that some buzzy, but fun days,
are ahead of us.
To
start off this music adventure we went to see 5 Seconds of Summer. Last year, I
saw them too at the 1D concert and I really liked their music, so when they
came to The Netherlands, for their own tour, my friend and I had to go. Also
the tickets were very cheap which makes it even more fun. Here are some pics
from the night!
I have
to admit, 1D and 5SOS are both guilty pleasures of mine, but I feel like I can
share this top secret information with you haha. Anyways, we had an
amazing time and we can't wait to see Ariana next Friday! *Happy face*
I've always liked Face Of The Day posts. I'm just nosy in a way that I like to see what make-up other people have on their face. So today I am going to do the same and make this a regular thing if you like them too!
I
started this look with my Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer.
Since I was going to be very sweaty (lovely image for you there, but that's
going to happen at concerts), I wanted my face make-up to look flawless the
entire night.
Next
step is foundation. I used the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in
51. It looks very natural on the skin, but it tends to be quite shiny on
me after a couple of hours.
To
cover dark circles, pimples and scars I used the Collection Lasting Perfection
Concealer in 01 Fair. This concealer does an amazing job to cover anything,
so I knew that it would help with my flawless, long-lasting complexion. I also
used the MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20 to cover the things that
needed a bit more coverage.
To
set everything in place, I swirled my fluffy brush in the Soap & Glory One Heckof a Blot Powder and pressed it into my skin. This way it will stay put all
night!
To
give me amazing cheekbones I applied the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, for a rosy sheen I applied the Estée Lauder IlluminatingBlush in Tease and for a gorgeous glow I went with my trusty MAC
Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle.
For bold, defined brows I used the Catrice Eyebrow Kit and the GOSH Eyebrow gel. This way my eyebrows won't move!

I
kept my eye make-up very simple and just applied my Clinique Chubby Stick forEyes in Lots o' Latte and blended it out with my MAC 217 brush. A few
coats of the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black Waterproof and my
eye look is complete.
On my
lips I am wearing a mix of the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in
Sultry and the Rimmel Kate Moss
Lipstick in 105. I overdrawn them a bit, which is a look I really like at
the moment.
A few
spritzes of my Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume and I am ready to go!
I hope you liked this post and let me know if I should make these a
regular thing! :)

My Life | One Direction Where We Are Concert Amsterdam
Two days ago was thé day for me and
my friends. We went to the One Direction Where We Are Concert in the Amsterdam
Arena. Now I am not your typical 1D fan. In The Netherlands One Direction is
sort of a band for 14 year old girls, who scream, draw their names all over
there face and go crazyyy when they see them. Me on the other hand.. I am the
opposite of all that 'fans going wild' stuff. I just like their music and do
think they are very cute, but I leave my
obsession there. No posters, no stalking and NO fights with other fans on
Twitter. Anyways since I am 20 (huge gasp) it’s maybe a bit weird to see a boyband
that has a young audience, but we (me and my three other friends) don't give a
damn and are still going to the concert with all the 12-year olds. Yep, we are
that cool, lol.
The day itself was a bit crazy for
me. I was in a rush to get there, because I had my internship and a resit that
I had to take that started at 16:10-17:50. The concert started on 18:00, so you
see my problem? I wasn't happy when I found out about that. I made the exam as
quickly as possible and rushed to the arena that is 15 minutes away when you
take the tube. I did not want to miss 5SOS, so there I went, in my pineapple
skirt and buckled sandals. Only I would pick an outfit like that, when I know I
am in a hurry. The test went oké, at least I hope haha. Otherwise: good luck
next year with taking it again Mar, as I am thinking in my head :P.
Lucky for me the concert started
later, so I hurried up for nothing. I met my friends at the nearest McDonalds
which was sooo busy. They already ate so I just ate four, healthy, date bars
and hoped it would be enough. I also had hopes to buy some cheeky food, a
sandwich or fries hmmmm, at the train station when we were going home. Unfortunately
due to craziness to get on the platform and in the train I didn't make a pit stop
to get some yummy food.
The fun thing was that everyone was
in orange. Oké not everyone, but al lot of people were. Orange is our national
colour. At football, and now with the World Cup going on, we go crazy with
orange hats, paint etc. The boys love football, so they asked everyone to come
in orange last year at their concert. Same goes for this year! I was wearing
a bold, orange lip, so I was kind of orange.
I loved all the songs they played
before the show! I am hooked on Olly Murs now! I can't get 'Dance With Me Tonight' out of
my head! When 5 Seconds Of Summer came up I was really excited. To be honest I only knew 'She Looks So Perfect' which is one of my favourite songs at the moment! So there
was not a lot of singing involved except the moments they sang 'Teenage Dream'
and 'She Looks So Perfect'. I really liked there performance and should maybe
download there new album? :).
At 8:45-9:00 it was finally time! The people, mainly girls, went crazy. I think I never heard such loud yelling in my entire life. The boys came up and it was just unreal. I really liked there performance even though, due to our seats, we could not see and hear everything loud and clear. I mainly followed the concert on the big screens. Besides that it was an amazing concert and such an amazing experience! The boys where lovely and performed really well. I took some pictures with my phone, not the best quality though... I will keep the videos for myself, since there is some really bad and loud singing involved. I recorded one of my favourite songs 'Little Things', but now I can't enjoy it because you hear me screaming the lyrics and my voice goes all weird.

I also thought I would be deaf and lose
my voice for two days. Luckily that didn’t happen even though today my voice
started to get weird. Lots of green tea with honey will solve that problem!
Anyways, I loved the performance
and would go again if I could. I actually would have wanted to go to the second
show in Amsterdam, but I didn't :(. Till next time boys, but then maybe a bit
closer to the stage! :)

My Life | Justin Timberlake 20/20 Experience Concert 2014
I was really excited, mainly
because we had really good tickets. We were standing at the front separated
from the rest of the crowd. I could almost touch him!!
Justin started on time, which
hardly ever happens nowadays. This was already a plus for me. He sang a lot of
old hits and also new numbers from his 20/20 experience albums. My Love,
Senorita, Mirrors, Tunnel Vision and my personal favourite: Let The Groove Get
In. He all sang them.
I already liked Justin before I went to his
concert but after his performance... OMG I just love him so so much. His dance
moves are to die for and he sang really good live. There was a small break in between
the show, but that didn't spoil the fun. I have never been so close to the
stage before so it was amazing! It was a really long show as well. It started
at 20.30 and ended at 22.45. The tickets were really expensive, but it was all
worth it. It was a good show, very entertaining and Justin was just amazing! It
is all a bit of a ramble this post haha.
The photos will give you
an impression of the night ;).

My Life | Mrs. Carter World Tour 2014
So today is
the day I am going to Beyoncé!!! I went to her concert last year and it was
AMAZING! Since she has a new album (who hasn't heard about that?) she decided
to come back to Europe, yeeeeeeh! Tonight is the night and as I said I am
beyond excited. I love her new album and I know she will perform a lot of new
songs. I also want to look for a nice Surfboard sweater, if it is not too
expensive I will go for it, hehehe. Anyway I want you to enjoy the night with
me. I will show you my make-up and some bits of the concert. Without further
redo let’s get started!
The make-up
I kept it
very simple and classy. I always seem to go for this kind of look, but I can't
help it. I like the more natural look.
WOMF:
- Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer
- Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in 51
- NYX HD Concealer in Porcelain
- Catrice Eye Brow Kit
- Catrice All Matt Powder in Translucent
- Estée Lauder Illuminating Powder Gelée Blush in Tease

- Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten, center part of the lid

BEYONCÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ
Her show
was amazing. She was twenty minutes late though, but that didn't spoil the fun.
She sang a lot of songs from her new album, but also some old classics. I loved
all here outfits. They were cool, on trend and a bit hipster here and there.
All with all I thought it was an amazing show and I will go to her concert
again if she comes to Amsterdam. When the show ended it felt like it was
a short show. Maybe it was but I enjoyed every single minute of it!
PS. The Surfboard Sweater was €60, so I thought that was a bit overpriced.
| Not the best picture quality, but I tried my best while dancing and singing :P |
