My Skincare Routine

Since I was a teenager I have been obsessed with skincare products. Maybe because my skin was in such a horrible state that I was desperately trying out products to fix everything. Sadly making your skin free of acne, redness and scarring doesn't happen overnight. Although I kind of wish it did. 

For the last couple of years I have been really sticking to the same routine. Using the same products religiously every day and never ever sleeping with my make-up on. I don't understand how women do that like it's no big deal. Doesn't your face feel like such a greaseball? And how does your pillow case look? Weird questions that pop into my mind from time to time.

Anyways, today I am sharing my current skincare regime. I have found it to really affect my skin in a positive way and I hope that this will continue until my skin is glowy, even and completely acne free!

*Also a note: I use a sheet mask like that once a week, I am not THAT crazy about skincare haha*

Come to Copenhagen with me

About a month ago I went on my trip to Copenhagen and Sweden. Crazy how the times flies isn't it? Anyways, I had the best time of my life when I was there and also filmed some bits from my days in Copenhagen. That city really stole my heart with all the colourful houses, hip hotspots and Danish pastries.

The London Haul 2017

There it is again: a haul! I've shopped quite a lot the past couple of months and I'm here to say that this will probably be one of my last hauls for the next few months. I just buy way too much!
When I'm in London I can't resist going to Oxford Street and pop into Primark and Boots. So that's what I did. It's not as much as last time -which is what I always say- but I did pick up a few bits and pieces that I enjoy using a lot. Some old favourites, some new classics and a lot of stuff in between. Follow me around Brighton & London: OOTD

If you have seen my last travel vlog you know I went to Brighton and London. Whilst I was there I also shot a few clips of my outfit. Funnily enough it's almost the same outfit (I swear I wore something different on the Saturday). This was just the most comfy thing to wear and I did not have a lot of space in my suitcase #travelproblems. See it as like a follow me around kinda video where I show you a bit of me and the beautiful cities I visit.
I had a lot of fun editing it and it's hands down my favourite video that is on the channel right now. Something about travelling and filming a few clips of that experience makes me so happy. Especially when I look at the video now. It takes you back to that exact moment and makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. All the feels people!

The London Vlog 2017

I didn't only take lots of photos on my trip to London and Brighton. I also vlogged! Now you may know that I normally suck at vlogging. The looks and awkwardness still get to me but honestly I feel like I did an okay job this time. Besides missing an entire Saturday of filming, oooops! Big Topshop Haul January 2017

A new year means sale, and lots of it. I went into Topshop to have a look at their sale and saw way too many nice pieces. This haul is a mix of sale and non-sale and lot's of lovely items. I bought these really funky Jamie jeans, a velvet suit, chokers and some make-up bits. Hope you like it!

A HUGE ASOS Haul

The London Haul 2016 Take Two

A while back I talked about my London & Brighton trip and now I finally uploaded a video with all the stuff I bought. It's not as much as I normally buy, which to be honest, is way too much anyways. It still surprises me that I never have to pay for extra baggage, because that's honestly how much I pick up there.

My Holiday Outfits

Whilst I was away on holiday enjoying the sunshine I also had to film a few bits and pieces for a video. The lovely scenery and summery outfits were just too good to not film them. My friend Hester and I filmed at our hotel and also in Kos. We were there for one day and besides us being sea sick we made most out of our day there.

The Benefit Brow Event

About a month ago I got an invite from Benefit for a super-secret event where they were going to show their new brow collection. I love Benefit as a brand and I am obsessed with brows so I immediately said yes.

The event was held at the Tuschinski theatre in Amsterdam. It's one of the oldest theatres in Amsterdam and the whole atmosphere is so special there. I have been there before once when I got pre-premiere tickets to see Remember Me. I was basically bawling my eyes out after the movie because the ending was so sad. 

After I ate a delicious cake pop - it was my first ever cake pop and it was so good - and chatted with other lovely bloggers we all headed to another room where the presentation would take place. We first saw some magic tricks and I still don't know how he did all of them. Magic is so cool and I deeply hope that there is a real Harry Potter world out there with wands and awesome spells.

After all the magic it was time for the big reveal. Jared Bailey, International Spokesperson & Global Brow Artist from Benefit, gave us a lovely presentation with the whole story behind the collection and revealed all the new products. You will probably recognize some of them, but there are also some new brow game changers added to the collection. A review of these babies will go up next week, so for now you can only see a glance of them in my vlog.

All the new products:
- Ka-BROW!: a creamy gel to fill in your brows.
- High Brow & High Brow Glow: highlighting pencils.
- Ready, Set, BROW!: an eyebrow gel that holds the brows into place.
- Precisely, My Brow Pencil: a super fine eyebrow pencil.
- 3D BROWtones: a highlighting eyebrow gel.
- Goof Proof Brow Pencil: an eyebrow pencil that's perfect for shaping the brows.
- BROWVO! Conditioning Primer: a primer for fuller eyebrows.
- Brow Zings: an eyebrow shaping kit.
- Gimme Brow: a volumizing fiber gel.

I also got to try the products after the presentation and see which colour is the best for me. I love the new silver packaging and it really makes them stand out. My faves are the 'Goof Proof Brow Pencil', 'Ready, Set, BROW!' and both 'High Brow' pencils. All these products will be available from July 2016, so unfortunately you have to wait a bit to get your hands on them. But believe me they are worth the wait!

My MAC Lipstick Collection + Swatches

Over the past couple of years I have collected lots of makeup -take a peek in my make-up drawer here- , but the ones I cherish the most are on top of my beauty table in a copper glass box that I got from a local store. All my six MAC lipsticks are in there too and today I am going to show you those in a video. I swatched them on my lips - my lips were not so happy with this - so you can see what they look like on and I tell you a bit more about the formula and my absolute faves that you need in your life too! A Beauty Haul

Seeing DNCE & Joe Jonas liked my photo!?

Last Sunday I went to see DNCE in Amsterdam. I love their song 'Cake By The Ocean' and as a former Camp Rock fan - okay I admit I still LOVE that movie - I was very excited to see Joe in real life. 
The concert was really great and I also added quite a few clips of it in my vlog, so you can enjoy it too. However the best thing happened after the gig, when Mister Joe - freaking - Jonas liked my Instagram photo. - OMG! - I am still dying about it right now and I find my fangirl moments in this vlog hilarious. Maybe it's a bit over the top but it's truly how I reacted to it. Hope you like it!

What I Got For My Birthday

Last week I became 22 years old. ''I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22'' has been on repeat since then. Mainly because it's an amazing song and I love Taylor Swift, but also because the song finally has a meaning to me: I am 22.

Now I got some amazing presents from my family and friends and decided to show them all to you! Whilst editing I found out that I also forgot a few - dammit-, so I will show you those in a separate blogpost. The London Haul 2016

Vlog #2: London 2015, EMA Pre-Party & Forever 21 opening

Last week was a week full of events. On Monday I went to the MTV EMA Pre-Party in Amsterdam. I was part of the press team and I was right beside the red carpet. It was so amazing to experience an event like that and I had a lot of fun!

On Wednesday I had a photoshoot for Fashionista magazine (I am an intern there). I got to do such cool and amazing things that I will tell you all about when the time is ready! After the shoot I rushed into central Amsterdam for the Elite Model Look finale, which was so fun to watch! I was very underdressed though, since I just came back from the photoshoot. Picture this: guys in suits and ties, women in fancy gowns and then there is me: the girl who is wearing black skinny jeans, a chunky jumper and a grey scarf. Not the best look, but oh well!

Then on Thursday I went to the opening of the new Forever 21 store in Rotterdam, which was again SO COOL. Normally I sit behind my laptop, typing away as I do, but this week was just so awesome and fun and I can't wait to show you the things that I have been doing!

For now I have a little vlog where I show you my week and some clips from my last holiday – basically one day - to London. I vlogged the entire MTV EMA Pre-Party - I even talked to my phone in public in the busiest street in Amsterdam EVER - and my editing software decided it wasn't a good idea to import those clips to the video. Anyways, I still hope you enjoy this little clip of my life and I will be back to regular videos soon!

A Day in Utrecht and A Vlog Fail

If you've read my last lifestyle post, you know that I recently went to Utrecht. I had a lovely catch up with a friend; we explored the city and ate some delicious food. I vlogged the trip and I decided to film with my DSLR camera because the quality is better.
The only thing is, is that vlogging in public with a small camera or your phone is awkward, but vlogging with a big DSLR camera is even more awkward. That's why I didn't really pick up my camera and talked about what I was doing.
In a bit less than five weeks I will be going to London and I WILL vlog the trip. The quality may be a bit off, but I WILL VLOG haha! I still hope you enjoy this little video of my trip!
