The Revlon Colorstay Foundation

Two years ago, on a London trip, I picked up the Revlon Colorstay Foundation. I knew that it was a popular drugstore foundation, but I never thought it would be this good.
I have always struggled with finding a good foundation. I like a full coverage foundation that looks natural, doesn't melt of my face throughout the day and is the right colour match. Especially that last criteria is very hard, because even the lightest of drugstore foundations look too dark and orange on me.

This on the other hand is perfect. It gives a medium to full coverage and the shade 150 buff is a perfect match to my skin. It has a yellow undertone which I like a lot too, since I feel that it cancels out the redness in my skin and it stays on all day. My T-zone gets a bit shiny though, but with a bit of powder you won’t see any of that. It is a bit weird though, because this is made for people with normal/dry skin and I prefer this formula way more than the combination/oily skin formula. I have tried it a couple of times, but I don't really like the undertones and it looks very cakey when you apply it.
Now I usually apply two layers and it gives the most flawless finish. Sometimes, if I am in a glowy mood, I mix it with the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and that looks so great too! Especially since the Wake Me Up Foundation is way too dark for me to use it on its own.

Every time I go to London I pick up at least two of these Revlon foundations – I can’t get them here *sad face* - and I am planning to do that in January too, because I will be going back in less than a month *jumps up and down*.
I’ve also tried some Revlon Matte Lip Balms which were great too, so I might pick up a few more Revlon products whilst I am there.

My Spring Make-Up Look

The sky is blue and the sun is shining; this can only mean one thing: spring is finally here. I am very happy with the warm sunshine on my skin and the happy colours that go with it. I do really like snuggly sweaters and a dark, purple lip, but the cold weather is something that I do not like at all. I am happy that I can finally pull out my bright lipsticks and sandal shoes to complete my spring look.
That’s why today I have filmed my Spring Make-Up Look. I have been wearing this look non-stop and I am in love with the blush and the lipstick. They are both amazing!

I make new videos every week, so I you want to see more please SUBSCRIBE, so you will know when I upload a new video!

What's In My Make-Up Bag?

I have many make-up products, but my favourites and my most used products are obviously in my make-up bag. I bought this make-up bag a couple of months ago and it sort of represents my love for macarons, and make-up of course.
I am always interested in what other people use. From a peek in their make-up bag you can immediately find out what their miracle products are for flawless skin and voluptuous lips. Today you will get a peek in my make-up bag and find out which products are my faves!

GRWM Winged Liner Make-Up Look

Lately I have been very inspired by a few fashion bloggers. Their make-up is always on point and their outfits are fabulous. Negin Mirsalehi is the girl that inspires me the most and I LOVE her make-up. I think her winged eyeliner looks amazing, so I decided to try something similar. A couple of weeks ago I went to a b-day party and I always love to put a bit more effort into my make-up when I am going to a party, so I decided to get the perfect winged liner, similar to Negin’s.
Can I just say that winged liner is so hard to do. Matching them took ages, but in the end I managed to get two ‘sort of even’ lines above my eyes. I also used the Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry from my last post. This results in a lovely look with a Kylie Jenner vibe.

So see here my GRWM Winged Liner Make-Up Look:
(Disclaimer: Taylor Swift’s album was on repeat, so I am sorry in advance haha)

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms

As you would’ve seen in my London Haul I went a bit crazy in Boots and Superdrug. During these crazy shopping trips I picked up two Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in the colours ‘215 Shameless’ and ‘225 Sultry’. Two beautiful lip products that are currently my favourites. I got them both for free, because there was a deal on Revlon products at the time. I already took pictures of them, but I wasn’t happy with the outcome. Then I got my new camera two weeks ago, so I decided to photograph them again!

Since the Kylie Jenner lip trend I just love those matte, nude colours. So I was hoping Sultry would be the perfect match. It’s a bit darker and pinkier than I expected it to be, but I still love the colour.
I picked up Shameless mainly, because there were no other colours that I liked. I already have a lot of reds and pinks in my collection, so a purple is something different. I actually like the colour a lot. I love bold lips, so this beauty is right up my alley!

Sultry

Shameless
They are both very easy to apply. They both have the same consistency and scent. When you apply the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm, a minty scent goes straight into your nostrils. In the beginning I had to get used to that, but I quite like it now. Both colours are very pigmented and longlasting. Even though they are matte formulas I don’t find them drying at all. Normally I need to apply a thick layer of Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream before I go to sleep, because my lips are dry and flakey after a matte lip day, but luckily those days have changed!

If you like a good matte lip then I would definitely recommend these Revlon Matte Balms. When I go back to London (and I hope this is very soon), I will have a look at the Revlon counter and look for more Colorburst Balms!

'Bad Skin Day' Everyday Make-Up Look

Today I wanted to talk about something that has been a big insecurity of mine for the past 7 years. Ever since I got my first blemish my skin got worse and worse, especially in the years when I was 16-20 years old. I have a lot of scarring, redness and break-outs that keep coming back.
Since November 2013 I have been getting facials every single month and this really helped to improve my skin. It still didn’t solve the problem, but it made it a bit better. Last December I was introduced to a wonder product. I call it that, because believe me it is THE BEST! This product is called Gladskin and I will do a full review of it on my blog soon, but this product really helped to fix all my skin problems.
A couple of weeks ago I did get a few break-outs and I filmed this video. I mainly filmed it because I had time to film and I really wanted to film an ‘Everyday Make-Up Look’. While editing it I saw that my skin wasn’t the best. I contemplated a lot if I should upload it or not and it has been on private for about two weeks now.
In the end I decided to put the video on public, because overall I am quite happy with how it turned out, when it comes to the editing part. The only problem is my skin and some of you might think that I should not worry about it. Maybe your skin is way worse or you just don’t care, but for me this was and still is a big obstacle. I decided to overcome this by uploading it and maybe helping some of you along the way.

While I am typing this my skin is actually pretty good and I filmed a new make-up look yesterday which I still have to edit. It will hopefully go up soon! :). That video will also be the last video with sucky video quality, because I got a present from my dad and it’s a Canon 700d! I cannot wait to film loads of videos for you, but for now here is my Everyday Make-Up Look on a ‘Bad Skin Day’!

The London Haul + Vlog

As you all know I went on a trip to London a few weeks ago. I saw all the highlights of the city and of course shopped a lot. I rambled up all my adventures in a post that you can read HERE.
As a beauty addict I couldn’t leave the British drugstores unvisited, since there are many good products in there. I went a bit too crazy in Boots and Superdrug, I have to admit, but I got everything I wanted!
As for fashion, I also went a bit cray cray. I love the style of many British bloggers, so to actually go to Topshop, Primark and New Look was amazing!

Instead of doing a blog haul, I decided to make a video out of it. Making Youtube videos is something I always wanted to do, so here it is: My first ever haul!

A few things:
1. I had a bad hair day and putting it up in a ponytail clearly didn't solve the problem.
2. I say the words 'super duper' and 'love' a lot in this video. Mainly because I was super duper excited about London, but in the future I will try to not use them as much. :p
3. The quality is a bit off, but I am hopefully getting a new camera in the upcoming months! :)

My London Wishlist

If you have not heard it already: I am going on a city trip to London this Saturday. I have been excited about it for months and now that the trip is coming closer and closer, I cannot handle my excitement.
London is my favourite city in the entire world. I have been there three times before and every single time I fall in love with the city all over again. Because of all the British Youtubers, who stroll around London a lot, I found many new food places and pretty boutiques that I NEED to visit.
Me and my sister, who is my travel buddy for this trip, are going to the Harry Potter WB Studio Tour which is super exciting and I am taking my sister for a lovely high tea at Bea of Bloomsbury’s for her birthday. We have nothing planned for the other days, but I already know that we will have some jam-packed days ahead of us.
As for my wishlist, I have a couple of things on there. Last year I spent way too much money in London and this time around I want to keep it to a minimum. I am saying this now, but wait until I go crazy in Primark and Boots haha!
See here, all the lovely things that I just NEED to buy!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This concealer is my everything! I love the colour, the coverage and the price. It is just so good for a drugstore concealer. Luckily my mom brought two concealers with here last summer. Unfortunately I lost one when I took a blog picture of it. I cannot find it anywhere *sad face*.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation
Being honest this was a love/hate relationship for me. I hated it at first. I bought the dry/normal formula when I obviously have combination/oily skin and it made my face look cakey. Until I went through my make-up stash and rediscovered the best foundation EVER! It is the perfect colour, it keeps oil at bay (surprisingly, since it is for dry skin) and it leaves the most amazing finish.

Topshop Jamie Jeans
They are my favourite jeans, so of course I need to buy a pair. I had one, but suddenly there was a huge hole, so I had to throw them out. I do have the black, ripped Jamie jeans, but with this cold weather I would like a pair that is completely ordinary.

Primark Turtleneck Sweater
So why did I used to hate these kind of sweaters and why do I want one so badly? They pop up in a lot of videos and they look so warm, comfy and cozy. I saw a turtleneck sweater in the ‘December Primark Haul’ from Becca Rose and it looked amazing! I cannot wait to go a bit mental in the Oxford Street Primark.

Pret A Manger Sandwich + LOLA’s Banoffee Cake
As a girl that loves food this is also on my wishlist. Last year I got introduced to the Avocado Chicken Sandwich from Pret and OMG it is so yummy. Definitely my favourite sandwich ever! And then I have not even begun about the cakes from LOLA’s. Everything in there is amazing, but the Banoffee Cake is delicious!

Of course I will show you everything that I got on the trip. In a post or in a video; I have no idea yet. I am also thinking about vlogging a bit of the trip, so you might get to see that too!
I will have no Wi-Fi the entire trip and for an internet person like me this will be hard, but also quit refreshing. I might pop into Starbucks once in a while to Instagram all my adventures, so you better follow me on there to see what I am getting up too. There are some posts scheduled though, so you can read those and I will be back in no time!

***Also if you have some London related suggestions like food places, Christmas markets or fashion hotspots that I need to visit, please let me know!***

London Drugstore Beauty Wishlist: What Did I Ended Up Buying?

Before I went to London I made this wishlist. I've been to London two times before. The first time I was there I just fell in love with the city. The atmosphere there is just amazing!

Since not all brands are available in The Netherlands (Revlon, Collection, NARS) I went a little bit crazy in the shops. Here are the beauty products that I wanted and what I ended up buying in the end:

London Drugstore Beauty Wishlist

1. Sleek - i Divine eyeshadow pallet in Au Natural
I did not get this one. The colours were not as pretty as I thought they would be.

2. Sleek -  Face Contour Kit
I did not get this ons either, Instead I got the Sleek Face Form which is just the same only that one has a blush.

3. Barry M - Nail Polish
Everyone seems to love these nailpolishes. They are really hyped up but the hype hasn't got to me yet. That's why I didn't get any. Maybe next time :).

4. Sleek - Face Form
This one I did get! I love it. The bronzer and the blush are really pigmented and the highlighter is gorgeous! I also love that you have three products in one kit, so handy!

5. Collection - Lasting Perfection Concealer
OMG! I LOVE this concealer sooooo much! I bought it in the colour 1 fair and it is a little bit light but when you work it in to the skin it looks really nice. It covers up my scars, acne and dark circles really well. I think I need to order some on Ebay because I am already running out and I can't wait to stock up on these in December when I go back!

6. Revlon - Lipbutters
I picked up three of these: Candy Apple, Wild Watermelon, Juicy Papaya. De colours are beautiful. It is a mix between a lipstick and a lipbalm. Definitely worth the hype. I will definitely pick up more!

7. Revlon - Colorstay foundation for combination/oily skin
I sort of picked this up.. Do any of you have the problem that when you buy tights you sometimes don't even look at the size (this happens to me all the time). That is what happened with me buying the foundation. I have been looking at this foundation all week. When I bought it I just picked up the right colour and thought that I bought the combination/oily formula. Instead I picked up the dry/normal formula. Of course I found out about this when I was back home. I tried it on but I looked really cakey. I will buy the right formula when I go back to London.

8. Topshop - Lipstick
It was so busy at Topshop that I quickly looked at the beauty department. But I decided not to buy anything.

9. Real Technique - Brushes
I picked up the Expert Face Brush. And I love it so much. It works in my foundation really well. Definitely worth the hype. I want the Blush Brush soo bad. So that will definitely be my next buy!

I am really happy with all  the products I ended up buying.

Did you buy any new make-up products this summer?
