The White Chelsea Boots

If there is one thing you should know about me it's that I am head over heels in love with shoes. I own too many pairs than I can wear and I keep on purchasing more because when I'm in a shoe store I can't think of any reasons why not to purchase them.

It wasn't any different when I was in The Hague and popped into Topshop with a friend. I recently bought these bright pink suede boots on sale so we wanted to have a look and see if they still had them there. Well, we didn't find the pink boots, but I did find a couple of other stunning heeled shoes. There was a buy one get one free offer going on as well, so I added two more pairs to my collection, some Beyoncé worthy black buckle boots and these white Chelsea boots which make me feel like I am walking straight out of That '70s Show.

You might think: why would you ever buy white boots. They get dirty so fast and make your feet look enormous, and as those things are all true I just liked the way they looked so much that that outweighed everything else. They were also discounted from €120 to €45 and as I got the buckle boots (also originally €120) for free I was like heck yes. Add a cheeky staff discount and they were even more of a catch. But yeah, here I am posing my ass off in cold, but sunny, Amsterdam. I love the chunky heel and the Chelsea style and they make me transform from plain jane in a funky 70s icon in seconds. Crazy how shoes can make you feel like that.

Anyways, I will continue rocking these boots throughout the summer with a cute floral dress and a denim jacket. If by that time I have not found a new pair of shoes I am obsessed with and that honestly will be the case haha!

Have you jumped on the white shoes train yet?

My new babies from ASOS

No, I'm not pregnant - I have a lovely monthly reminder for that- but I do have a new addition to my family. My shoe family to be more precise. I was browsing on ASOS for fun, although it's never really for fun because I always end up buying stuff, when I saw them. These gorgeous classic studded shoes. I tried to get them out of my head, but it was simply impossible to not think about them every day so I decided to just say yes and purchase them.

Now what shoes made me go crazy for a few days? The ASOS SIXTH SENSE Studded Mid Shoes, of course! The thing that made me fall in love with them is the croc effect and the silver studs on the ankle straps. They look so stylish and perfect for every occasion. Job interview. Yes. Birthday party. Yes. Just any day of the week. Yes. See how they enrich my life? And because my toes are covered I don't have to worry about chipped nail polish or any other foot drama that is going on down there. They are super comfy as well, true to size and in comparison to my other pointed ASOS shoes, my feet are not dying. They have a bit of a heel which I like a lot. I mean I am all about high heels, but not when I physically can't walk in them, so I'm good with these.

In my opinion these shoes look way more expensive than €54. I feel like Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada who is on her way to an important business meeting when I walk down the street. The only thing missing from that is an expensive designer bag and a devilish attitude where people turn the other way around when they see you. Not that I want that but the fancy designer bag on the other hand sounds quite nice, don't ya think?

What do you think of these shoes?

My Purple ASOS Velvet Sock Booties

ASOS is one of the best things that happened to my wardrobe, but at the same time it's also the worst because I want EVERYTHING. Whenever I have some spare time I open up the ASOS app and start browsing their shop. This usually results in a shopping spree and spending all my money on sweaters, accessories and shoes. I can't remember an ASOS order where I didn't purchase shoes, because their shoes are the bomb dot com.

See here my newest wardrobe addition: purple velvet sock booties. I saw them on the website, saved them and after looking at them a million times a day -you are shoe obsessed or not- I made the purchase. Unfortunately I had to send them back, because they were too small, but luckily a bigger size came back in stock -which is honestly the best feeling in the world-. It was like ordering tickets for an Adele or BeyoncĂ© concert, the anxiety of actually putting them in your basket and paying for them before somebody else snatches them away from you. But in the end I got them and I was so happy when my ASOS order finally arrived last weekend.

These booties are such an amazing piece for this autumn/winter season. They have that whole velvet, sock boot trend going on and I love it so much! The purple colour is so funky and so different from anything else I have seen. They are not the most comfortable shoes. I don't know what it is, but even though they are a size bigger than I usually am they still hurt a tiny bit when I walk for a long period of time. I am totally fine with that though, because walking in these awesome kicks is totally worth all the pain!

The Faux Snake Skin Boots

Autumn can't come soon enough for me. I love the warm weather, but boots, sweaters and layering win every single time. Now normally I find it really hard to find boots that I like because there is always something wrong with them. Most of the time they aren't weather proof; a couple days of rain and my new, lovely boots are ruined forever. Or there is a weird buckle on them which totally makes them not so cute anymore.

When I was in London I made a quick visit to Primark and I immediately fell in love with these faux snake skin boots. I spotted the last two pairs out of the corner of my eye and sprinted over there. It said that the size was 41 but at Primark you never know. I turned the shoe and spotted the magical number 39 at the bottom and I was very happy. I put them on, tried to walk to the mirror -we all know that's so hard with the string between the boots- and fell in love with them. They were 15 pounds -hello bargain!- and they basically go with everything.

I really hope you can still find them at Primark to try these babies on yourself and otherwise you can find similar pairs on ASOS as well. They actually have some really nice boots on there at the moment, so it probably won’t be long before I talk about a new pair of boots on here!

Hey, I put some new shoes on

Buying shoes is one of my most favourite things to do and as a shoe addict a new pair gets me excited every single time. A few weeks ago I was walking past a store that had a 50% off sale poster on their window. I immediately went in and saw a pair of black Dr. Martens boots that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately they were too big for me and it was the last pair in store. I sprinted to another store of theirs to find out that they were sold out there too. I was a bit disappointed, but my eye immediately fell on the Converse section and luckily the black All Stars were still left in my size. As you can see by this post they fitted me perfectly and I have been obsessed with them ever since.

I have never owned a pair of Converse shoes but they have been on top of my wish list for a long time. Together with a pair of Dr. Martens haha. I was never really a sneaker girl, but since my Topshop slip-ons and my Adidas Stan Smith's, I can't deny the fact that sneakers are just so comfy and stylish.

I started to wear my new sneakers last week and I don't have any blisters on my feet. Normally I always get blisters when I wear new shoes. I don't know if that's because of my poor shoe choices (love Primark heels but most times they really kill my feet) or because my feet are just weird. I also wore them to The 1975 concert (GRWM video coming soon) and they were so comfy to dance in. They do have some black marks on them now, which I immediately cleaned up the day after the gig. I really want them to stay clean forever. Not that that is going to happen though haha.

Do you have a favourite pair of sneakers?

My new Birkenstock purchase

I have been a fan of Birkenstock for years. I bought my first pair of sandals when I was 14 and I absolutely worn them to death. I actually still have them, but they are a bit old and dirty, which made me think it was time for a new pair. I was also not really in love with the model anymore. It's the one strap, Madrid model and I was actually more in love with the two straps, Arizona model that everyone is rocking nowadays. So there I went on my way to the store to pick up a pair of these summer musthaves.

When I was in the store I was hesitating a bit. When I looked at them I still got a bit of a ''old man with a grey beard who is obsessed with the environment'' kind of vibe, but I still decided to give them a go. I put these shoes on my feet like Cinderella tried on the glass slipper and they fit me like a glove. I fell in love with the look and feel of them. They are so comfy, stylish and just overall perfect. Even though we don't really have a lot of sunshine here, I know these will be my newest go-to shoe and because they are black they go with everything. Definitely one of my better purchases this summer!

What are your thoughts on Birkenstocks? Do you own a pair?

The Perfect Shoes

Shoes are my everything. I have so many pairs that I stopped counting and I keep on adding new ones to my ''shoe collection''. My last addition was a pair of open toe shoes from Primark. I had been on the hunt for a pair like these for ages, so when I stumbled upon them I had to put them in my shopping basket.

I love the classic feel of them. They are perfect for every day, since the heel isn't that high, and because they are black they go with everything. I did have a blister situation in the first week of wearing them, but that's easily forgotten. A few plasters and I am good to go.

I would also love to get a pair of boots similar to these where the back is closed and you just have an open toe. It's a bit Kim K. style, but I like it!
I see myself wearing these heels a lot in the summer time and with my white nails they are the perfect match!

New Shoes

So I thought it was time to introduce you to a new addition in my shoe collection. I bought this pair last month in London and it was love at first sight. These black patent loafers were on my wishlist for a very long time. I knew that I would definitely find a pair in London, because I saw them on many British blogs; and I was right!
In the New Look on Oxford Street I found these amazing shoes! I was actually very tempted to buy them in white too, but I told myself that one pair was enough. For £19,99 they are an absolute bargain and a must for every shoe addict! I love the tassels and the pointed toe. I don’t own anything like this and believe me, I have a lot of shoes!
I find them very versatile and very comfy; although I do need to put tape on the back of my ankle, otherwise there will be a lot of blisters popping up. Not that that really matters, because I will wear them anyways. Unfortunately, due to the weather, I cannot really wear them. It’s sooo cold outside that I cannot permit myself to leave the house without boots, a winter coat and gloves. For me, spring and summer can’t come soon enough, so I can wear these babies again!

What are your favourite shoes at the moment?

*A London haul will go up soon on my blog. I have been busy with editing it, learning for my exams and writing essays. So even though it will be a bit late, I will upload it! Also the fact that I am actually putting up a video of me talking to a camera has to sink in. I love to do it, but when I am editing, I annoy myself a lot, so I just need to get over the boundary of putting up that first video; actually second, but my first video was on the streets of Amsterdam and not really a ‘talky’ video :).*

Fashion | A Few Bits from Primark, Zara and H&M

Last week I had the urge to shop. Do you have that as well, when you just NEED to shop! I went to Amsterdam and browsed online and this is what I ended up with. I can't promise you that I won't buy anything else, but for now these are my new bits!

A Bright, Pink Flowercrown
Another flowercrown? YES! My flowercrown addiction is getting a bit out of hand but I love them! This one is also from Primark. It was the only nice thing I could find, which is normally not the case in Primark. This one was €4,50, so I had to get it!

A Black, Wool Hat
I contemplated a lot about this hat. I wanted this style of hat for a while and everyone is wearing it at the moment. I popped into H&M and my eye fell on it immediately.  It was the last one and it was €14,99. Bargain!

Black, Polkadot Espadrilles
Espadrille shoes, like these, are my fave! They are so comfortable and go with everything. I bought a Zara pair last year, but they are starting to fall apart. Lucky me, because I found these ones in the Zara sale for €22,99. I love them so much. They are really well fitted and the mesh, polkadot pattern is so cute!

Fashion | Haul with Primark and H&M

Yesterday I went on a little trip to Primark. I had not been there in like forever, so I had to pop in and see what new bits they had in store. I could not really find a lot of nice things. I always buy shoes and I couldn't find any pair that I liked. Oke, there was one amazing pair, but they didn't have my size :(. Despite this sad moment, I did find some fashion pieces I absolutely love!

Primark - Sheer Stripe Tee - €6,00
I have always wanted a shirt like this. I have seen it on almost every fashion blog, so I was happy to finally find an affordable option. I love to wear this sheer top with the skirt and short I bought.

Primark - Printed Skirt - €12,00
I am into the whole midi skirt/dress hype. I tried on some dresses and I just don't think they suit me very well. But this skirt on the other hand is amazing! It has a pineapple print and a split on the left. I can't wait to wear it with some heeled sandals and my yellow Zara bag!

Primark - Flower Crown - €4,50
I love flowers, so why not put them in my hair? It is THE summer musthave, so of course I wanted to get my hands on them. This flower crown is pretty and will be one of my statement accessories this summer!

H&M - Printed Shorts - €14,95
After a hunt on these shorts, three H&M stores to be exact, I found them in my size! They just caught my eye and I fell in love with them completely. The yellow, floral print is amazing and they are high waisted, which is always a good thing if you ask me. This Saturday it’s going to be pretty hot here, so it will be the perfect opportunity to wear these lovely shorts!

I should pop into Primark more often. Or maybe not, as it will save me a lot of money in the future.
