My Black Faux Fur Coat

Now that temperature is in the minus region I'm always seen with a thick jumper and a fluffy coat. I already talked about my leopard coat from Topshop, I love that coat to bits, but sometimes I do like to change it up a bit.

I picked up this coat last year at a flea market in Amsterdam. I was actually able to buy three coats for 70 euros which I thought was an amazing deal. I definitely wear this one the most. It's black which helps a lot when I need a coat to match my outfit and I love the big pockets on the side. Perfect for my phone and public transport card when I am on the go. It's also incredibly soft and looks so good considering the fact it was a second hand coat.
I matched my coat with my Topshop Fringe Hem Jamie Jeans and snake skin booties from Primark. I'm also wearing the black and white jumper that I showed in my haul, but the scarf is covering up that bit quite well. That jumper is one of my recent faves and it was on sale too, such a bargain!

I took this photo near the ‘Negen Straatjes’ -great food places there as well- and it's so lovely with the canals and these stairs that lead up to someone’s house. Wish I will live in a property like that some day!

The Faux Fur Leopard Coat

When all you want to do is stay in bed with a hot cuppa tea and a good book you know it's time for you winter wardrobe. For me this contains of chunky jumpers, velvet dresses and a snuggly coat. Last year, I was quite happy to find three winter coats on a flea market. I am normally really fussy about coats so I was over the moon when I finally found some good ones. And the price helped quite a bit too haha.

Now this winter time I didn't have my hopes up high. I already have a lot of lovely coats in my closet and I really didn't need another one. That's when I spotted this coat in Topshop. Since I work there I know exactly what is new and can snatch it away as soon as it’s in the store. That also happened with this coat. I saw it, tried it on and had to make the purchase. I have to say I'm quite happy I did. Leopard is a huge trend this A/W season and I see so many people rocking this style. 

It was a big buy (€125), but it was all worth it. The coat is as soft as a teddy bear and I have noticed that I stroke myself sometimes. I know, I know, a bit weird, but with a coat as soft as this one you would probably do the same. I like the print since it's not your usual leopard print. Normally the brown colour is way deeper and warm. This on the other hand is light and a bit more cool-toned.

I definitely have a crush on leopard print and I can't wait to get more items with that funky edge. We have some amazing bags in as well that would totally match my coat. Or maybe I'll just wait for the winter sale, because I know there will probably be some lovely items for grabs there.
