Korres Vanilla Cinnamon Shower Gel

Airports are where you come and go, and do a bit of shopping, obviously. I already spoke about my first purchase at Rhodes airport, but that perfume wasn't the only Korres item I bought. A shower gel that smells like Christmas in a bottle has to be something that I own in my life so I bought it.

As the name of this shower gel suggests it smells like cinnamon and vanilla (€10,80/250ml). Now I love these spicy festive scents. Especially when it's that time of the year, but any day is an appropriate moment to get that bottle out of the cupboard and take a hot relaxing cinnamony bath or shower.
For a bath I don't find the scent that strong. Maybe if you squeeze the entire bottle in the tub that it will actually smell like a cinnamon stick, but I think that's a bit of a waist. And as the product is meant for showers I am not that surprised that this product works way better for showers than for baths. It does give the most amazing bubbles though!

After showering with this gel my entire skin smells like cinnamon and I love it. As I said before, I just love the scent all year round and if you are the same you will definitely fall head over heels in love with this. Not a massive fan of festive ginger cinnamon scents? No worry because Korres have a lot of other fruity scent too that I can't wait to try.

Have your tried anything from Korres before? What is your favourite scent?

Rituals Sakura Scrub

When the sun starts to shine I immediately want to get my legs out. This is usually the time that I discover that my legs aren't summer ready. The sun hardly shines here anyways -if you love rainy days you should really move to Holland- so when it does, you will see me wearing my off-the-shoulder Zara dress. Cause when do I otherwise get to wear it?

One major product that helps me to create the softest skin is this Rituals Sakura Scrub. I have been a fan of Rituals for years and especially this scent makes me extremely happy. If you've seen my b-day haul you know that it was a gift and it's really come in handy the last couple of weeks.
It's a sugar scrub and the scent is aaamazing. It's a mixture of rice milk and cherry blossom. I know this explanation doesn't do its justice so my advice would be to go to one of their stores and smell it yourself. A bit tricky too, because it’s hard not to buy something with all those lovely scents surrounding you.

I always make my skin a bit damp before I scrub my legs. I find that it's less harsh and way easier this way. I really try to massage it into my skin and after a minute or so I rinse it off with lukewarm water. The scrub leaves an oily layer on the skin but don't be afraid of this, it actually feels quite nice and makes my legs super soft. After the scrub I like to apply a generous amount of my MoltonBrown Vintage 2015 body lotion and then I am good to go. Ready to put on my best summer outfit and soak up all the vitamin D!

Do you know Rituals? What is your favourite product of theirs?

The Magic of Christmas

Christmas isn’t complete without popping into a Lush store. I love Lush all year round, but I love it even more in December. The special Christmassy editions to their collection are always fab and I always have to take a peak to see what they have. Now I do think Lush is a bit overpriced and way more expensive than it used to be, but when I saw this bubble bar on a cinnamon stick I couldn’t resist.

This is 'The Magic of Christmas' and it's a wand that you swirl in the bad or keep under running water to great the most amazing bubbles. Now what I love the most about this is the scent. It's made with cinnamon and cloves and it really smells amazing. I also like that I can reuse it, because I always feel like I am wasting so much money on something that I just use one time. The glitter is something that I am not the biggest fan of, but after one bath most of them are gone anyway.

I used it this Sunday and it was really relaxing. I was just lying there in the hot, orange water with my iPhone in my hands, catching up on Vlogmas - there are so many vlogs! - and really taking in all the spicy scents that were surrounding me. I will definitely use this on Christmas Day too!

Brightside

Lush is one of my favourite shops. I just love their products and to be more precise their bath products. I love to sit in the hot colourful water, relax and have the most amazing scent surrounding me. Now Lush isn't the cheapest. It's basically flushing five euros down the bathtub, so when I do buy something it's a real treat. I am a big fan of their bubble bars. You can use it multiple times and it gives amazing bubbles, what's not to love?

Now Lush just opened a store at Amsterdam Central Station. When you walk into the building the typical Lush scent already salutes you and it's hard not to give in to this craving to pick up A LOT of Lush goodies. Luckily (or sadly, I am still deciding on that) I just missed my train, so I went to Lush to have a look around in their new shop.
The shop is tiny, but it has everything you need. All those colourful bath ballistics make me feel like a kid in a candy store, so I was happy that the lovely ladies at Lush helped me with finding the perfect bath treat. I decided to go with Brightside. An orange and yellow swirly bubble bar that smells like Sicilian mandarins, bergamot and tangerine. It leaves the most amazing summery scent and it makes my bath water bright orange. Is it Fanta, is it a Lush bubble bar? You may never know!

I am very happy with my Lush purchase and I will definitely wonder off in their colourful shop when I've missed my train. They are also building a Victoria Secret store and a Kiko store at the train station. I am VERY happy with that, but my bank account not so much haha!

Zoella Beauty

A pamper day is something I really need at the moment. I finished all my exams and the cold that I am having is almost gone. So a nice, relaxing day is just what I need.
A while ago I ordered some products from the Zoella Beauty range. A bit of a risk since I could have hated the scent of the products, but I trust Zoe enough to know that her products would smell amazing.
My purchase consists of the Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar and the Zoella Beauty Blissful Mistful. These two products seemed most appealing to me when I looked at the Zoella Beauty range on Feel Unique. I adore the packaging of the entire line. It is sweet, girly and very Zoella.

The Zoella Beauty Blissful Mistful has an amazing scent. Scents are definitely a tricky thing, since not everyone likes the same scents. It is very light, fruity and floral. It smells quite fresh and a splash of this body mist is the perfect start to my day. Since it is a body mist the scent is not very noticeable at the end of the day, but I just take my cute bottle with me and spritz this beauty multiple times throughout the day. Zoella Beauty Blissful Mistful Fragranced Body Mist, 45ml, €12,35

If you know me, you know that I adore baths. I have loved them since I was a kid and since my discovery of the Lush Bath Bombs my love for baths has grown more and more. So obviously the Fizz Bar is right up my street. I love that it looks like a chocolate bar and you can break pieces off. This way you can have multiple baths with one bar. It has the same scent as Blissful Mistful, which I love, but the scent does not last very long. I only used two pieces, so maybe it would be different if I used the entire bar, but I thought that was a bit too much. It does not give you a coloured, bubbly bath; not that I was expecting that, but a hint of colour or a sprinkle of glitter would be a nice addition. Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar Fragranced Bath Fizzer, 200g, €6,50

Overall a cute and exciting range that looks great, smells amazing and is very affordable.  A trip to Superdrug is definitely on the agenda when I go to London in less than two months! *exciting face*

Review | Lush Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

Lush always has the best bath products. I love to take a look in there shop and just smell everything. Especially with Christmas they have some special limited edition goodies. Last year they came out with Golden Wonder. A bath bomb that looks like a golden present. If you shake it you can hear there is also something inside the bath bomb. Once it is in the bath it changes from colour, I think that is so cool. (I never use that word, but I think it's the perfect word to describe this bath bomb).

But anyway, I bought this last year and wanted to use it for a special occasion. Since this bath bomb is pretty special. Almost a year has gone by and I still have not used it, until this week. I just had to use it. It has been in my drawer for ages and I can buy a new one if I like it. Since all the Christmas products are already in Lush.

How Lush describes Golden Wonder:
''This bath bomb is like a pass the parcel gift – each layer has something different to offer. This is not for a quick bath because it takes its time, this bath bomb. Its layers of golden lustre, dazzling colours and soluble gold stars are a wonder to behold.''

''We loved this ballistic so much, we decided to put one of our most popular perfumes in it, so that lots of people will enjoy bathing in it. Long standing customers will recognise the smell of Snowshowers shower jelly. Newer customers might like to know that the smell is of a light fizzing champagne cocktail, and contains sweet orange oil, cognac oil and lime oil.''

Ingredients:
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Sweet Orange Oil, Cognac Oil, Lime Oil, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Dipropylene Glycol, Gardenia Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Colour 15510, Colour 45350, Colour 45410, Colour 42090, Edible Golden Stars, Golden Lustre, Golden Lustre Spray.

Now on to the bath bomb. It changes from colour: yellow, green and blue. There is a sort of golden layer on top of your water. I actually noticed that when I got out of the bad and there was still some gold glitter left in the tub. However I do not notice this on my skin. After a while some stars appear in your bath and suddenly they are all gone. The smell is amazing. I wont try to describe it, because I am not very good at that. :p

I really enjoyed my bath with this bath bomb. I will definitely repurchase it. Two weeks ago I also bought a few new bath products from Lush. They are from the Halloween/Christmas collection. So keep your eyes open for that! I promise I will not wait a year before using them!
