Apple Pie Porridge

As you know by most of my food posts: I love porridge. I think it's one of the best breakfast options as it's very filling, easy to make and so yummy. This time I decided to shake things up and step away from my classic porridge recipes and go for something even better: apple pie porridge.

I love apples, and in combination with cinnamon and raisins I love them even more. I have been making this kind of porridge for a while now and really had to share it with you. It tastes amazing and it’s almost just as good as real apple pie!

What do you need?
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
- 1 apple, cut into small chunks
- 1 1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 200ml water (or milk)
- 50g oats
- A handful of raisins
- Lots of cinnamon
Optional: flax seeds, chia seeds and walnuts

Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan, add the apple chunks and bake them slightly on medium heat. Add the brown sugar and wait till it's starting to dissolve. Now add the water (or milk), oats, raisins and cinnamon. I also like to add some flax seeds and chia seeds, but that's completely up to you. Mix it all together and keep stirring till the porridge is perfect. Scoop it in a bowl, add some walnuts and your apple pie porridge is done!

More into carrot cake? I also made carrot cake porridge. Read about it here!

Black and Grey

The past couple of months I have really changed up my style. Before I wouldn't be caught dead in a black, white & grey outfit, but nowadays I love it. There are actually only a few rare days where I pull something colourful out of my wardrobe.

Now this outfit really resembles my love for black, white and grey. I went to a flea market in Amsterdam (more on that in a later post) and they had this amazing graffiti wall, so of course an Instagram photoshoot had to happen. Was I freezing cold in this outfit? Yes, but at least it looked nice right?

Jumper: Kendall + Kylie for Topshop (I actually have blogged about this jumper before!)
Jeans: Topshop
Coat: C&A
Shoes: Topshop
Bag: Forever 21
Scarf: ASOS

My love for the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

When I was in London a couple of weeks ago I was there with a mission: buying lots of Collection concealers. Last time I was there I visited six Boots stores and a Superdrug too, but it turned out that they all ran out of this magical product.
As you can see I picked up five concealers and I hear you asking ''Why would you buy so many?''. Well it turns out this concealer is the best one I have ever tried and I basically can't live without it. Then there is also the fact that they don't sell Collection in the Netherlands, so whenever I am across the pond I pick up as many as I can. And it's also a great excuse to visit London from time to time, because when is a trip to London not a great idea, right?

This concealer is very popular amongst every person that is into beauty and sometimes these products are a bit too hyped up. With this one I find that’s not the case at all. I have been using this concealer for about three years now and it has never disappointed me one single bit. Instead it amazes me every single time I use it.

It’s available in four colours and ‘1 Fair’ matches my skin tone perfectly. I find that a lot of drugstore concealers are too dark and orange for me, but this one just seamlessly blends into my skin. The consistency is very creamy and the high coverage is so good. It also stays on all day which for an oily t-zone gal like me is really great news.

After trying it in my London hotel room I immediately fell in love again and ran back to the drugstore for more. This little tube costs £4.19 and for that price you can’t really go wrong. Definitely a product that you should try at least once in your life!

What is your favourite concealer?
